My name is Jovana Radokanovic, MS Counseling, and I have found my calling in the field of behavioral science, and particularly, the counseling profession.
I am experienced in working with survivors of long-term, repeated, complex trauma, including incest, sexual violence and abuse, physical, emotional, and psychological violence and abuse, racial trauma, religious trauma, trauma caused by natural disasters, armed conflict, displacement.
Part of my professional experience has been concentrated on the fluidity of the expat lifestyle and community, transitions in personal and professional life, alienation, various forms of grief and loss, and, in general, the growing pains of our personal development.
My services are offered under the strict veil of confidentiality, as well as that of mandatory reporting. The client base I have worked most with are the international NGO workers, diplomats, trailing spouses, third culture children, various international professionals and expats, Serbian diaspora, etc.
The ultimate goal of the counseling relationship, as I see it, is to equip the client with attitudes, tools, and skill sets they can move forward with, and refer to as an intimate base in their network of support. These cover assertiveness training, upward management skills training, horizontal management skills improvement, career coaching, and other soft skills necessary for successful professional life and work relationships.
My clients are located in various countries around the world, from Brasil, to Japan, in Europe, Asia, and Americas, and I have provided counseling services while located in Kyrgyzstan, Cambodia, Serbia and the US.
